OpenAI has introduced GPT-6 Astra, its new frontier model for computer use, coding, scientific research, professional work and long-running agentic tasks.
Astra scores 99.9% on ARC-AGI-3, 98% on FrontierMath Tier 4 and 100% on ExploitBench. It also improves computer-use efficiency, completing OSWorld 2.0 tasks in roughly 47% less time than GPT-5.6 Sol.
OpenAI reports stronger alignment, with Astra staying within authorized boundaries in new evaluations inspired by the Hugging Face incident. The model is initially rolling out to selected organizations before expanding to ChatGPT paid plans, the OpenAI API, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Bedrock.
