AWS announces Interconnect

AWS has launched AWS Interconnect multicloud connectivity with Microsoft Azure in public preview, enabling enterprises to quickly provision resilient, scalable and private connections between workloads running across both cloud platforms.

AWS has announced the public preview of AWS Interconnect multicloud connectivity with Microsoft Azure, simplifying how enterprises connect workloads across the two cloud platforms.

The managed service replaces complex do-it-yourself multicloud networking with private, high-speed connections that businesses can provision through the AWS Management Console, CLI, or API. Microsoft Azure has adopted AWS’s open network interoperability specification, joining Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

The architecture provides dedicated bandwidth, MACsec encryption, and four-way resiliency for high availability. The Azure preview is available across AWS Regions in Northern Virginia, Northern California, Sydney, and Frankfurt, with additional regional expansion planned.
