OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Images 2.5, its latest image model focused on higher fidelity, faster generation and more precise editing. The model delivers more natural lighting and textures, better preserves subjects from reference photos and maintains consistency across multiple editing turns.
OpenAI reports up to 50% lower generation latency compared with Images 2.0. ChatGPT also gains Sketch for turning drawings into finished images, creative templates, image comments and shareable prompts. Images 2.5 is rolling out across ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work and Codex.
Developers also gain GPT-Image-2.5 Flare for faster workflows and Sunburst for detailed, precision-focused creative production.
