NVIDIA has introduced the Open Agent Safety Platform to strengthen security for autonomous AI agents from testing through production.
The platform combines OpenShell, open-source software that creates secure runtime boundaries and traces agent actions, with Sentry, an independent monitoring system running on NVIDIA BlueField-4 DPUs. Sentry continuously monitors agent behavior and can quarantine agents within milliseconds when they move beyond defined boundaries.
The approach moves security controls beyond the model and application layer into compute infrastructure. More than 100 organizations are working with the technology, including Anthropic, Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP, SpaceXAI, Scale AI, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Hugging Face and JPMorganChase.
