Microsoft retains exclusive licensing access to OpenAI’s models and intellectual property for its products and services. At the same time, the partnership structure allows OpenAI to pursue additional collaborations with other companies while maintaining deep integration with Microsoft’s technology ecosystem.

Both organizations say they remain committed to developing powerful AI tools responsibly and ensuring that the benefits of AI reach businesses and individuals worldwide.
