Google Maps now includes two major AI features called Ask Maps and Immersive Navigation. Ask Maps uses Google’s Gemini AI to let users ask natural language questions such as where to meet friends, find charging spots, or plan road trips.
The system analyzes user preferences, reviews, and location data to provide personalized suggestions and route plans. Immersive Navigation improves the driving experience with realistic 3D visuals of buildings, terrain, lanes, traffic lights, and intersections.
This helps drivers understand complex turns and road layouts more easily. Together, these updates transform Google Maps from a simple navigation tool into an intelligent assistant that helps users explore places and plan journeys more effectively.
