AWS has made Amazon CloudWatch Omni generally available for monitoring applications and AI agents through a unified observability environment. Built on OpenTelemetry, Omni automatically discovers services, maps dependencies, and brings telemetry from AWS accounts, Regions, and other cloud environments into shared workspaces.
Teams can investigate issues using natural-language queries, dynamic telemetry views, and root-cause analysis powered by AWS DevOps Agent.
For AI workloads, Omni traces prompts, model calls, and tool invocations while supporting evaluations and experiments to identify quality regressions. Developers can also use its IDE extension across VS Code, Cursor, and Kiro to debug and evaluate agents during development.
