Anthropic has introduced Claude Opus 5.5, the first model in its Claude 5.5 family, focused on complex coding, computer use, research and professional work. Anthropic reports a 66.4% score on Terminal-Bench 4.0, 54.4% on FrontierCode v1.1 and 81.8% on OSWorld 2.0.
The model generates output more than 30% faster than Opus 5 and reduces typical workload costs by 40%, with pricing of $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens.
Opus 5.5 also strengthens prompt-injection resistance and alignment safeguards. It is available across Claude, AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
