Announcing Copilot leadership update

Microsoft unified Copilot leadership, appointing Jacob Andreou to lead a single consumer and commercial AI system, while Mustafa Suleyman shifted focus to building advanced AI models and long-term superintelligence.

Microsoft announced a major Copilot leadership update to unify its consumer and commercial AI efforts into one integrated system. Jacob Andreou was appointed Executive Vice President to lead the Copilot experience, overseeing product, design, engineering, and growth across both segments.

The new structure organizes Copilot into four pillars: experience, platform, Microsoft 365 apps, and AI models. Meanwhile, Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman will shift his focus away from Copilot features to concentrate on building advanced AI models and long-term superintelligence capabilities.

The reorganization aims to simplify the product, improve integration, and strengthen Microsoft’s position in the competitive AI landscape.
